Jacques Lurton created The Rose in recognition of the magnificent wines of Provence. Our 2021 Rose vintage release continues the elegant French style which has made The Rose one of our biggest selling wines.
Grenache is whole bunch pressed to extract minimum colour, opal yeast issued to accentuate confectionary hints. Finishing the wine dry, it is held on heavy lees for 3 months to build mouth feel.
- COLOUR: Pale Salmon
- ON THE NOSE: Sherbet, strawberry, honeydew, rock melon
- ON THE PALATE: Strawberries and cream, peach notes with a light leesy grip adding complexity.
- FINISH: A clean finish with hints of acidity.
- FOOD PAIRING: Charcuterie, ratatouille, prawns, spicy Asian herb salads.
